Logger lacrosse heads to Oregon to play first-year program

TACOMA, Washington – A brand new opponent is in store for the Puget Sound lacrosse team when it travels to Salem, Oregon to take on first-year program and Northwest Conference member Willamette Sunday, March 17, at 1 p.m.

Conference expansion

The NWC added lacrosse teams in Willamette and Whitworth this season, giving the conference seven lacrosse teams.

 

Five for four

Jenna Kisner netted five goals during the Loggers' home game against Ohio Wesleyan, March 11. She has six goals through three games in 2019.

 

Banking on Benko

Ally Benk is tied for the NWC lead in saves with 28. She has faced 76 shots on goal thus far.

 

In a flurry

This Sunday marks Puget Sound's fourth game in an eight-game span, and the schedule doesn't let up any time soon. The Loggers travel to Colorado to take on Johnson & Wales (March 19) and Marian (March 20).

 

Scouting Willamette (1-1, 0-0 NWC)

The Bearcats' first win in program history was against Johnson & Wales, 16-5 (Feb. 24). Anabel Ohsman and Miranda Piros both have seven goals for Willamette this season.
