From Oregon to Colorado, Logger lacrosse continues travels

TACOMA, Washington – Fresh off its first win of the season, the Puget Sound lacrosse team heads to Colorado for non-conference games against Johnson & Wales (March 19) and Marian (March 20) this week. Both games are at Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colorado.

Winning at Willamette

Jenna Kisner, Hannah Nichols, and Ali Walker each scored two goals to lead the Loggers to their first win of the 2019 season, an 8-5 victory at Willamette (March 17). Click HERE for more information.

 

Leading scorers

Jenna Kisner is Puget Sound's leading scorer with eight goals this season, including five in a home game against Ohio Wesleyan (March 11). Ali Walker has five goals to her credit, and Hannah Nichols has four.

 

Looking ahead

Following spring break, the Loggers return to Tacoma to host Whitman (March 30) and first-year program Whitworth (March 31).

 

Scouting the opposition

Johnson & Wales (1-4) is in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC),  and the Wildcats call Denver their home. The Wildcats have played four Northwest Conference teams this season, with losses coming against Willamette, Whitman, and George Fox, and a win over Whitworth. Out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Marian (2-2) is a member of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC). The Sabres haves wins over Benedictine and Monmouth (Ill.), and losses against Concordia Chicago and Augsburg.
