AURORA, Colorado – Jenna Kisner scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to give the Puget Sound lacrosse team a 10-9 victory over Marian (Wis.) Wednesday afternoon.
The Loggers (3-3) faced a three-goal deficit with less than six minutes left in regulation, but Ali Walker put the Logger offense on her back to send the game into overtime. Walker scored her third goal of the game with 5:22 left in regulation, and she brought the Loggers to within a score by netting another goal just one minute later.
Puget Sound continued to trail, 9-8, for the next two minutes until Walker's sixth goal of the game sent the teams into overtime.
Following a scoreless first overtime, Jenna Kisner's third goal of the contest came with 20 seconds left in the second overtime and gave Puget Sound its third consecutive victory.
Ally Benko made a season-high 13 saves for the Loggers, including one early in the second overtime.
The Loggers can rest for more than a week before hosting Whitman, March 30.
