TACOMA, Washington – Hannah Nichols scored a season-high three goals, and Jenna Kisner found the back of the net four times, as the Puget Sound lacrosse team beat Willamette, 10-6, in Baker Stadium Wednesday afternoon.
After starting the season with three consecutive losses, Puget Sound now has a winning record with a 6-5 mark.
Kisner and Nichols combined for the first three goals of the game. Willamette closed the gap with a 3-1 run to end the first half and cut Puget Sound's lead to 5-4 at the break.
Nichols closed out the game by scoring the final two goals.
Puget Sound forced Willamette into 24 turnovers, and the Loggers came away with 23 groundballs to the Bearcats' 12.
The Loggers have some time to rest before traveling to eastern Washington to take on Whitworth (April 19) and Whitman (April 20).
