Loggers Make It Clean Sweep In Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Puget Sound women's tennis team made it a clean sweep of their opponents over spring break with a 5-4 win over Hollins (6-2) on Thursday. The Loggers (10-3) used four singles wins to earn the win.

The Loggers swept through the back end of the lineup in singles, winning points in the Nos. 3-6 matches. Logan Thompson won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 and Marissa Friedman won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4. Josie Dow cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win in the No. 5 match while Allison Embernate took the 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3.

The four wins clinched the match for the Loggers after taking just one doubles point. Dow teamed up with Jenna Gerdsen to win the Loggers doubles point with an 8-0 win in the No. 3 match.
