Bradlina, Monaghan ready for national stage

TACOMA, Washington – Emery Bradlina and Colin Monaghan are in Wisconsin for the NCAA D-III Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships hosted by UW-Oshkosh, Saturday, Nov. 17.

Not running like a rookie

Logger freshman Colin Monaghan was the top NCAA D-III runner in each of his races this fall through the Northwest Conference Championships. He was ultimately named the NWC Freshman of the Year, NWC Men's Runner of the Year, and NWC Champion.

Bradlina's back

After missing the 2017 cross country season to study abroad, Emery Bradlina returned in a big way. She won her first race of the 2018 season in the Puget Sound Invitational. Although it appeared Bradlina leveled off a bit during the season, she picked up a notch during the NCAA D-III West Regionals to qualify for the national championships.

West Regional results

Colin Monaghan placed sixth out of 110 runners, and Emery Bradlina finished 10th out of 125 women's runners as both earned All-West Region honors and a bid to the NCAA D-III Championships. Monaghan finished the 8k in 25:10.0, and Bradlina crossed the 6k finish line in 22:45.7.

The course
