TACOMA, Washington – 2018 NCAA D-III Cross Country Championship qualifiers Colin Monaghan and Emery Bradlina were named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic student-athletes, the USTFCCCA announced Thursday.
Per the UTFCCCA: "In order to qualify for this honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet."
Both Monaghan and Bradlina earned All-West Region honors during the 2018 season, and they traveled to Oshkosh, Wisconsin to compete on the national stage.
Monaghan has a sensational freshman season. In addition to winning the Northwest Conference Men's Cross Country title, he was named the NWC Men's Runner of the Year and the NWC Men's Freshman of the Year.
Bradlina, a senior, eyes a return to the national stage during the indoor track & field season. Last year, she traveled to Alabama where she competed for a national title in the 800-m.
