Simon Luedtke joined the University of Puget Sound Athletic Department as the Director of Athletic Communications in August 2025. He is the primary contact for the Loggers' 23 NCAA-sanctioned sports, and covers all media functions within the department.
His responsibilities include managing the Loggers' social media and website, producing Logger livestreams, recovering statistical archives, helping with game-day operations, managing student and professional staff, driving internal communications, writing game-day recaps, and recording in-game statistics. During his time at Puget Sound, Luedtke has assisted in the launch of the FloSports streaming platform, designed technical facility upgrades, increased the media visibility of all 23 sport programs, and efficiently reorganized the operations of the Athletic Communciations office. Prior to his time with the Loggers, Luedtke spent one year as the Assistant Director of Sports Information and Marketing at George Fox University. While at Fox, Luedtke was the primary contact for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s swimming, softball, and women’s lacrosse.
In 2024, Luedtke graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications. There, he worked as a Sports Information Assistant for the Lutes, serving as the lead play-by-play broadcaster and media production specialist. Luedtke also spent the summer of 2023 as a broadcast intern for the Portland Pickles, where he assisted broadcast operations, managed social media, and helped drive ticket sales to record numbers.
As a graduate of Newberg High School in 2020, he has returned to the Tacoma area and lives with his wife, Elli, and two cats, Pigeon and Kiwi.
