Loggers fall to Lewis & Clark, 9-0

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men’s and women’s tennis teams opened the 2015 season with losses against Lewis & Clark, both of which ended 9-0.

Farrell Ahlf came away with the best showing for the Puget Sound women, as she competed in No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles. Ahlf dropped the singles match (6-2, 6-3), and she teamed up with Tamara Runnicles in doubles as the duo battled to an 8-5 loss.

On the men’s side, freshman Connor McDaniel had a strong showing in his match in the No. 5 singles spot. He forced additional sets in the first game, but dropped the match (7-5, 6-2). On the doubles side, Abe Noyes and Chet Seiles fought in the No. 3 spot but fell 8-2.

Both teams return to action tomorrow, Sunday Feb. 22, against Linfield at 10am.
