Early Goal Enough For Loggers Eighth Straight Win

PORTLAND, Ore. – Mikaela Freeman scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute as the University of Puget Sound women's soccer team improved to 13-1 on the year. The win was the Loggers eighth consecutive.
 
The Loggers controlled most of the match as they outshot the Pioneers 21-3 en rout to the 1-0 victory. It didn't take long for the Loggers to get on the board as Freeman scored in the fifth minute with an assist from Kelly Andersen.
 
Casey Thayer earned the shutout, making one save for the Loggers. Elise Delgado allowed one goal for the Pios but made nine saves as the Loggers put 10 shots on goal in the match.
 
The No. 20 Loggers head to Willamette tomorrow for another NWC match at noon.
