Box Score WALLA WALLA, Wash. –Two Loggers tallied double digit kills as the Puget Sound volleyball team scored a 25-19, 25-12, 25-14 sweep of Whitman on Saturday. The win snaps the Loggers (12-2, 4-2 NWC) modest two-match slide.
Brynn Blickenstaff led the Loggers with 11 kills and hit .296 while Jackie Harvey smashed 10 kills and hit a team-high .471 to help key the Logger victory. Juliette Witous also added a match-high 25 digs.
The Loggers never trailed in the first set and only trailed 1-0 in the second and third sets as they breezed to a sweep of the Missionaries (1-11, 0-6 NWC). Courtney Brewer's five kills led the Missionaries.
The Loggers hit .235 as a team and held the Missionaries to a .010 hitting percentage.
With the win, the Loggers moved back into a tie for second place with Pacific Lutheran, who lost to Whitworth today. Whitworth's 6-0 record leads the NWC.
The Loggers return home next week to host George Fox on Friday at 7 p.m.
