Box Score TACOMA, Wash. – The University of Puget Sound capped off its home schedule with a thrilling 73-57 victory over Linfield on Friday. Kaleb Shelton totaled 16 points and 10 rebounds for his team-leading seventh double-double of the season.
The Loggers (9-13, 6-8 NWC) came out of the gates with high energy on both ends of the floor and a full court press that disrupted the Wildcats (8-154, 4-9 NWC) offensive flow. The Loggers turned the high energy into a 35-16 halftime advantage.
Three other Loggers ended in double figures, including the Loggers lone senior Aaron Edwards. He finished with 10 points, five rebounds and three assists.
The Wildcats weren't as easily disrupted in the second half as KC Wiser scored 25 of his game0high 29 points in the second half. However, it wasn't enough to erase the deficit as the Loggers led by as many as 31 points in the second half.
The Loggers will finish the season on the road at Lewis & Clark and George Fox next weekend.
