Box Score

TACOMA, WashingtonAmalia Acorda-Fey netted her fifth game-winning goal of the season and Jacquelyn Anderson scored her first goal of 2015 as the Puget Sound women's soccer team topped Pacific, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon.

Acorda-Fey's game-winner came in the 36th minute when she received a cross by Annie Prickett from the right side, and the senior from Seattle, Washington capitalized on the opportunity by scoring in the top-left corner.

The Loggers (12-0-4, 8-0-4 NWC) held a 1-0 lead over the Boxers (3-11, 3-7-2 NWC) at halftime, but Anderson cushioned the lead in the 50th minute. Cassie Winter's cross from the right side found Anderson's foot, and the Renton, Washington native buried the offering into the back of the net.

The stout Logger defense held Pacific without a shot for the entire game. Junior goalkeeper Lauren Thomas recorded her sixth-consecutive shutout and 13th overall. Her 0.18 goals-against average leads the Northwest Conference.

The Loggers return to the pitch during Homecoming Weekend when they host Whitworth on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m.
