Peppis, Williams-Krebs score in 2-1 win over Lewis & Clark

Box Score

TACOMA, Washington - Tess Peppis and Grayson Williams-Krebs both scored as the Puget Sound women's soccer team outlasted Lewis & Clark, 2-1, on Peyton Field Sunday afternoon.

The Loggers went up 1-0 less than 15 minutes into the match. Emmy Owens sent a cross from the right side that went off the hands of Pioneer goalkeeper Hannah Osmundson, and Peppis was there to hammer in her second goal of the season.

Less two minutes later, Williams-Krebs netted her team-leading sixth goal of the year off an assist from Annie Prickett.

The Pioneers' first shot on goal came 30 minutes into the game. The Pioneers got on the board when Alexa Hanson scored on a free kick midway through the second half, but the Puget Sound defense shut down Lewis & Clark for the rest of the game.

The Loggers hit the road when they play at Whitman on Saturday, Oct. 15.
