Box Score

McMINNVILLE, Oregon – Gabbie Berg's second goal of the year stood as the game-winner as the Puget Sound women's soccer team beat Linfield, 1-0, Friday night.

Berg netted the game-winner in the 20th minute off an assist from Kendra Elderkin. Jamie Lange – the reigning Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week (defense) – recorded six saves for the shutout.

The Logger (7-3-3, 5-2-2 NWC) defense has kept opponents off the scoreboard in four consecutive games, and Puget Sound has allowed the opposition to score in only five of 13 games this season.

Linfield (6-6-1, 4-4-1 NWC) fired 14 shots in the game, but only six were on target. The Loggers put five of nine shots on goal.

The Loggers are off on Saturday before kicking off at George Fox on Sunday, October 15, at 12 p.m.
