Box Score

TACOMA, Washington –The Puget Sound women's soccer team tied Willamette, 0-0, in double overtime on East Field, Saturday afternoon.

The Loggers and the Bearcats both recorded four shots in the first half, and goalkeepers Jamie Lange and Kristen Barclay notched two saves securing the shutouts into halftime.

The two teams continued to fight through the second half but Willamette tallied two more shots than Puget Sound, out-shooting them, 5-3.

Puget Sound came out strong in overtime, and recorded the best chance of the match in the 92nd minute. Forward Genevieve Cheatham dribbled down the left side into the six yard box, slotted the ball far right barley nicking off the post before being cleared out by a Bearcat defender.

Lange recorded four saves, all of which were in regulation play.

The Loggers remain at home to take on Pacific Sunday, Oct. 8, at 12 p.m.
