FOREST GROVE, Oregon – Senior Kyle King recorded his first double-double of the season, but the Puget Sound men's basketball team finished its season with a 76-70 loss at Pacific on Saturday night.

King scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Loggers (12-13, 5-11 NWC). He shot 6-for-15 from the floor and 8-for-10 from the free-throw line. Kohl Meyer scored 14 points to go with five rebounds and four steals, and Carlos Mancasola finished with 13 points, nine of which came from the charity stripe.

Puget Sound struggled all night to find its shot, finishing with a 35.0 percent field-goal percentage (21-for-60). The Loggers missed 18 shots from 3-point range and finished 4-for-22 from distance (18.2 percent).

On the flip side, Pacific (12-12, 6-10 NWC) shot 47.4 percent from the floor (27-for-57) and 39.1 percent from behind the arc (9-for-23). The Boxers also won the rebound battle, 41-34.

The Loggers trailed by 16 points, 49-33, four minutes into the second half, but a layup by King sparked a remarkable 23-6 run by the Loggers. Advit Raghavan accounted for Puget Sound's next five points with a 3-pointer and a layup. King chipped in five more points during the run, including a three-point play.

Puget Sound grabbed a 56-55 lead thanks to a layup from Stellan Roberts midway through the second half. The Logger lead grew to 62-58 after Mancasola hit a pair of free-throws with 7:37 on the clock. Pacific regained the lead, 65-62, two minutes later. Although Puget Sound evened the score a couple of times down the stretch, the Loggers were unable to get ahead of the Boxers.
