Loggers suffer double-overtime loss vs. No. 18 Lutes

PARKLAND, Washington- The Puget Sound women's soccer team kept pace with No. 18 Pacific Lutheran, but fell short in the 104th minute, 1-0.

The Loggers were out-shot, 3-0, in the first half, but were able to fire off two in the second, both on frame. The first shot came from Kendra Elderkin in the 52nd minute, followed up by a shot from Gabbie Berg in the 76th minute.

Puget Sound came out strong in the first overtime, out-shooting Pacific Lutheran, 2-1. Elderkin recorded her second shot of the game, while Jacquelyn Anderson notched her first.

Pacific Lutheran found the game winner in the second overtime. Katie Coronado crossed a ball that found its way into the back of the net off of Leah Magee's header.

Goalkeeper Jamie Lange recorded six saves for the Loggers, five of which were in regulation.

Puget Sound heads to Portland, Oregon, to take on Lewis & Clark Saturday, Sept. 23, at 12 p.m.
