Reviglio, Voss set career-high marks against Pioneers

Box Score

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound volleyball team refused to allow Lewis & Clark breathing room, but the Loggers ultimately lost to the Pioneers, 3-2 (25-19, 26-28, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12), in Memorial Fieldhouse Friday night.

Alli Reviglio finished with a career-high 16 kills for Puget Sound (11-9, 8-4 NWC), and she added 13 digs. Her previous career-high was 13 kills, which she achieved three times this fall.

Sydney Voss also posted a new career-high mark Friday night. Her 34 digs are a personal best.

Melanie Siacotos finished with 10 kills and three blocks for the Loggers.

After dropping the first set, Puget Sound outlasted the Pioneers (10-8, 3-8 NWC) in the second set, 28-26. A kill by Reviglio and a Pioneer error sealed the set and evened the match, 1-1.

Once again the teams alternated sets, with Lewis & Clark winning the third and Puget Sound the fourth, to send the match into the fifth and decisive set.

The Loggers claimed a 5-3 lead following a kill by Reviglio. The Pioneers went on a quick 3-0 run before a kill from Siacotos evened the fifth set, 6-6. However, Puget Sound was unable to reclaim the lead for the rest of the set.

The final home stand of the regular season begins Friday, Oct. 26, against Whitworth. The match starts at 7 p.m.
