Loggers clinch playoff berth on Senior Night

Box Score

TACOMA, Washington – Puget Sound men's basketball seniors Easton Driessen and Jeremiah Hobbs could not have asked for a better sendoff Saturday night. Playing in their final collegiate game in Memorial Fieldhouse, Driessen and Hobbs helped the Loggers to a 98-75 win over Pacific, and secured a Northwest Conference Tournament berth in the process.

The Puget Sound (16-6, 9-5 NWC) defense forced 30 turnovers against the Boxers (11-12, 5-9 NWC). Offensively, the Loggers committed only 10 turnovers, marking their second-lowest total of the season.

Jimmy Wohrer led all players with 22 points, while Stellan Roberts and Max Basile both contributed 16 points. Zion Shepherd finished with 13 points and eight rebounds for the Loggers.

The Northwest Conference Tournament field is set between No. 1 Whitman, No. 4 Whitworth, Linfield, and Puget Sound. The final two games of the regular season will determine seeding and host site.

The Loggers have a quick turnaround when they play at Pacific Lutheran, Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m.
