Puget Sound overwhelmed by No. 4 Whitman

WALLA WALLA, Washington – Four Loggers scored in double figures, and Cal Hansen nearly notched his fourth consecutive double-double, but the Puget Sound men's basketball team lost at No. 4 Whitman, 115-81, Saturday night.

Hansen scored nine points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for the Loggers (7-10, 3-5 NWC). Walker Shibley-Styer scored 13 points off the bench, as he shot 3-for-4 from 3-point range.

Jimmy Wohrer scored 11 points, and Stellan Roberts finished with 10 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Although the Loggers shot the ball relatively well (43.9 percent) against the Blues (16-1, 8-0 NWC), the Loggers committed 24 turnovers. That total is one turnover shy of their season-high mark.

Puget Sound aims to bounce back in Parkland, Washington, Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 8 p.m.
