Loggers fall in straight sets against George Fox

Box Score

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound volleyball team lost in straight sets, 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-15), against George Fox in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday night. It was the last home game of the 2019 season for the Loggers.

Melanie Siacotos had a team-high eight kills for the Loggers (14-12, 9-5 NWC), while Tallie Davison and Katherine Carley each added seven.

The Loggers struggled to find any momentum all night. Puget Sound's best stretch was early in the third set when it had a 7-3 lead. The Bruins (12-11, 9-5 NWC) had a 3-2 lead, but consecutive kills by Sarah Blumenfeld sparked a 5-0 run for Puget Sound. The run was aided by a few George Fox errors, which forced the Bruins to call a timeout.

Out of that timeout, the Bruins went on a 7-1 run and held the lead for the rest of the match.

The Loggers have a midweek date at Pacific Lutheran Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
