Box Score

TACOMA, Washington – Four Loggers scored in double figures and the Puget Sound women's basketball team set the tone early to upset No. 14 Augsburg, 74-51, in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.

The Loggers (3-1) opened the game with a 14-0 run and led by double digits for a majority of the game. Puget Sound's dominant start to the game included several fast-break layups, a 3-pointer by Cassidy Daugherty, and a traditional three-point play by Jamie Lange.

The Auggies (5-1) got to within three points, 30-27, but buckets by RaeAnn Allen and Rebekah Dasalla cushioned the Loggers' lead to 34-27 at the break.

It didn't take long for Puget Sound to regain a double-digit lead. Dasalla and Daugherty hit back-to-back 3-pointers to open the second half and give Puget Sound a 40-27 advantage. The Loggers led by at least nine points for the rest of the game.

Lange notched her third double-double of the season by scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in 27 minutes. Daugherty had a season-high 18 points, while Allen and Dasalla added 12 points and 11 points, respectively.

Puget Sound dominated on the boards, 50-28. The Loggers shot 49.1 percent from the floor while holding Augsburg to just 24.6 percent.
