Box Score TACOMA, Washington – Although the Puget Sound women's basketball team held an 11-point lead at halftime, the Loggers lost to Pacific, 66-57, in overtime Friday night in Memorial Fieldhouse.
The Loggers (6-6, 1-2 NWC) opened the first quarter by shooting 6-for-8 from the floor, and they held a 21-15 lead through the first 10 minutes. That lead grew to 33-22 at halftime.
However, the Pacific (10-3, 4-0 NWC) defense frustrated the Loggers' shooting touch for the rest of the game. Puget Sound made just nine shots from the floor in the game's final 15 minutes (26.4-percent).
Trailing by three points in its last possession of regulation, Pacific drilled a 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds on the clock, sending the game into overtime.
The Boxers opened overtime with another trey, but Rebekah Dasalla answered with a 3-pointer of her own. From that basket, however, the Boxers closed the game with a 12-3 run.
Jamie Lange finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds, good for her eighth double-double of the season. Dasalla scored 11 points off the bench, and RaeAnn Allen added nine.
The Loggers aim to bounce back when they host Linfield Saturday, Jan. 11, at 4 p.m.
