Puget Sound remains in the postseason hunt with a 54-37 win over Willamette

TACOMA, Washington – Jamie Lange recorded her 18th double-double of the season as the Puget Sound women's basketball team raced past Willamette, 54-37, in Memorial Fieldhouse Friday night.

The Loggers' defense suffocated Willamette (13-11, 7-8 NWC) all night. The Bearcats did not score more than nine points in either of the final three quarters, and Willamette totaled just 16 points in the second half.

Lange finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds, while Katie Minnehan added nine points and seven boards. Samantha Swartout amassed 13 boards.

The Loggers easily won on the boards, 45-21.

Puget Sound can clinch a Northwest Conference Tournament berth with a win at home against George Fox Saturday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m.
