Loggers pour it on at home vs Lewis & Clark

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's soccer team exploded for three goals to take down Lewis & Clark, 3-0, in Baker Stadium Sunday afternoon. It was the Loggers' second largest margin of victory this season.

Kylee Roath got the scoring going in the 17th minute for the Loggers (11-0-1, 7-0-1 NWC) when she headed in her fifth goal of the season off a pass from Misha Tasaka.

In the 29th minute, Genny Jilka positioned herself to receive a through-ball from Rylee MacLennan. Jilka then buried her fifth goal of the season into the bottom-left corner to give Puget Sound a 2-0 lead heading into the half. The scoring didn't stop there.

Shortly after the second half began, Ava Cholakian dribbled down the right side of the pitch and crossed a ball to the back post that was headed in by Radhika Webster Schultz. It was Webster Shultz's fifth goal of the season, and Cholakian's fourth assist.

Chaylea Tome held the Pioneers (7-4-1, 5-3-0 NWC) in check before handing the goalkeeping duties over to Megan Schellhase in the 67th minute. Schellhase came up with three big saves to preserve the team shutout.
