TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound football team hits the trail to Oregon to take on Lewis & Clark Saturday, Oct. 23, for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

A catch away
Senior wide receiver AJ Johnson is one catch away from standing alone as Puget Sound's all-time leading receiver. After posting 10 receptions against George Fox last week (Oct. 16), Johnson tied Adam Kniffin '13 for the all-time top mark with 263 receptions. Earlier this season, Johnson became the Loggers' all-time leader in receiving yards. He currently has 3,042 career receiving yards.

What's up, Dock
One week after becoming Puget Sound's all-time leader in passing touchdowns, senior quarterback Murdock Rutledge became the Loggers' all-time leader in passing yards. He threw for 253 yards last week against George Fox, giving him 3,011 for his career and breaking the record previously held by Hans Fortune '17.

General Washington
Senior running back Silas Washington scored his seventh touchdown of the season last week against George Fox – marking the most rushing touchdowns by a Logger since Kavin Williams had nine in the 2008 season. Senior offensive linemen Dom Torregroza, Griffin Hartshortn, and Braden Castleberry-Taylor have been clearing paths for Washington.

Driving Jerenz
Junior wide receiver had the best game of his Logger career against George Fox last week. He totaled 13 catches for 113 yards and a touchdown against the Bruins.

In favor of recent history
Puget Sound has won five of the last six head-to-head games against Lewis & Clark, but the Pioneers won the most recent matchup in 2019.

Scouting Lewis & Clark (2-3, 1-2 NWC)
The Pioneers' first conference win this season was at Willamette last week, 43-41. Despite the big score, Lewis & Clark put up less than 300 yards of total offense (299). The Pioneers scored twice through the air and twice on the ground. The defense forced four turnovers – an interception and three fumble recoveries. Dyontae Navarrete is the lead back, as he has 390 rushing yards while averaging 5.7 yards per carry. Cruz Montana has 909 passing yards and nine total touchdowns this season.
