TACOMA, Washington – The seniors went out in style. Competing in its last home game of the 2021 season, the Puget Sound volleyball team swept Whitman in straight sets (25-19, 25-21, 25-17) Saturday evening in Memorial Fieldhouse.

Before the start of the match, Puget Sound celebrated its eight graduating student-athletes:
Sadie Alloway,
Aliah Ayau,
Sarah Blumenfeld,
Katherine Carley,
Jordan Holman,
Samantha Johnson,
Aaliah Largusa, and
Jenna Miller.

The Loggers saved their best for the last match in front of the home crowd, posting a season-high .368 attack percentage. It is the only time this season Puget Sound has hit over .300.

Holman led all players with 14 kills, and sophomore Sarah Olsson posted a career-high 10 kills.

Ayau and Blumenfeld both totaled 12 assists in their final game in Memorial Fieldhouse. Johnson finished with a game-high 10 digs.

The Loggers are on the road next week and take on George Fox Friday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.
