Logger football returns to Oregon to take on Pacific

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound football returns to Oregon to kickoff at Pacific Saturday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m.
 
Records on Dock
Senior quarterback Murdock Rutledge is tied with Hans Fortune '17 for the most passing touchdowns (58) in program history. Rutledge also has 6,556 career passing yards, which is 296 passing yards shy of matching Fortune's career record.
 
Catching up
Senior wide receiver AJ Johnson has 2,872 career receiving yards, and is poised to break the school record of 2,908 receiving yards held by Adam Kniffin '13. Johnson is also 19 receptions away from matching Kniffin's program record of 263 career receptions.
 
Six for six
Senior running back Silas Washington has six rushing touchdowns this season, which is tied for the Northwest Conference lead. Running behind senior offensive linemen Dom Torregroza, Braden Castleberry-Taylor, and Griffin Hartshorn, Washington's 389 yards on the ground ranks second in the conference.

Senior defensive back Alex Meadowcroft had two takeaways against No. 9 Linfield (Oct. 2). He intercepted a pass in the end zone, and later recovered a fumble. Meadowcroft has two fumble recoveries this season.
 
Scouting Pacific (2-0, 1-0 NWC)
The Boxers' conference-opener was a 49-19 win over Willamette last week (Oct. 2). Only Joshua Harris (495 yards) has more rushing yards than Silas Washington in the NWC. Harris also has six rushing touchdowns. Kenyon Harris has 793 passing yards and nine touchdown passes to go along with a 77.65 completion percentage. Defensively, Noah Stevesson has 2.5 sacks, and Carter Atkins has 2.5.
