PARKLAND, Washington – Cal Hansen and Jourdan Joseph both scored 14 points, but the Puget Sound men's basketball team lost at Pacific Lutheran, 71-63, Friday night.

Hansen finished two rebounds shy of getting his fourth double-double of the season. Mussie Teclemariam pulled nine rebounds for the Loggers – his second-best total of the year.

PLU (6-1, 6-1 NWC) held a commanding 39-21 lead at halftime, and it held a couple of different 20-point leads in the second half.

The Loggers shot just 3-for-14 from 3-point range, and 41.1-percent overall from the floor.

The teams were near even in both rebounding and turnovers. The Loggers won on the glass, 39-37. Puget Sound committed 12 turnovers to the Lutes' 11.

The Loggers and Lutes go at it again Saturday, Feb. 27, at 8 p.m.
