Carden and Roath connect for game-winner in 1-0 victory over PLU

PARKLAND, Washington – Kylee Roath's late goal clinched a 1-0 victory in the Puget Sound women's soccer team's season-opening win at Pacific Lutheran Saturday afternoon.

Roath – a two-time All-Northwest Conference selection – netted the game's only goal in 81st minute. Tess Carden, who is also a two-time All-NWC honoree, assisted on the score.

Chaylea Tome, who was an All-NWC goalkeeper in 2019, made two saves in each half to earn the shutout.

The Lutes and Loggers play each other again Sunday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m.
