Box Score TACOMA, Washington – Three Loggers hit their season-highs in scoring, but the Puget Sound men's basketball team lost to Pacific Lutheran, 78-67, in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday night.
Freshman Paul Johnson tallied 18 points after shooting 4-for-8 from 3-point range. Jourdan Joseph posted 14 points for his first game in double figures this season. And Tyrese Yussuf-Willis matched his season-high with 15 points.
The Loggers (1-5, 1-5 NWC) continued their season-long trend of taking of the ball. Puget Sound committed only seven turnovers, whereas the Lutes (4-0, 4-0 NWC) were forced into 14 turnovers.
Nonetheless, Puget Sound struggled to find consistent shooting. The Loggers shot 36.1-percent from the floor Saturday night. Puget Sound has been held under 40-percent from the floor for five consecutive games.
The Loggers are scheduled to travel to Spokane, Washington for two games at Whitworth, Feb. 12-13.
