Box Score

PARKLAND, Washington – Tess Carden's first goal of the season was a rocket that gave the Puget Sound women's soccer team a thrilling 1-0 overtime win at Pacific Lutheran Sunday afternoon.

Midway through the extra period, Carden charged up to a loose ball approximately 30 yards away from the goal. With one solid strike, she drilled the game-winner just under the crossbar.

Chaylea Tome made two saves to secure her second shutout of the weekend.

The Loggers begin the 2020-21 year with a 2-0 mark, with both victories coming against the Lutes.  On Saturday (Feb. 6), Carden assisted on Kylee Roath's game-winner in the 81st minute.

Puget Sound is scheduled for its first home games, Feb. 13-14, against Whitworth.
