Box Score 2 SPOKANE, Washington – Three Loggers posted double-digits kills as the Puget Sound volleyball team finished the 2020-21 season with a 3-1 win at Whitworth Saturday evening. Earlier in the day, the Loggers lost to the Pirates in five sets.
Puget Sound 3, Whitworth 1
Jordan Holman put away a season-high 16 kills, while Katherine Carley and Alli Reviglio added 11 kills each to lead the Loggers to victory in the season finale.
Puget Sound posted a monstrous .344 attack percentage, which is more than .100 points higher than their previous season-high for the season.
In three of the four sets, Whitworth didn't eclipse 16 points. The Loggers totaled nine blocks, including four from Carley.
Logan Winn totaled 23 assists, and Sarah Blumenfeld finished with 22. Blumenfeld also recorded four service aces, adding to her conference-leading total of 27 aces this season.

Samantha Johnson had a season-high 11 kills, and Logan Winn finished with a season-high 31 assists, but the Loggers lost in five sets to the Pirates.
Down two sets to one, the Loggers had their backs against the wall entering the fourth set. Puget Sound jumped out to a 5-1 lead, and they maintained a solid lead midway through the frame. Back-to-back kills from Johnson and Katelyn Chekian pushed the advantage to 17-11.
However, the Pirates put together a 5-2 run to get within 19-16. The Loggers clung to a 22-21 lead when Johnson put away another kill and the Pirates committed an error. A kill from Sadie Alloway finally forced the decisive fifth set.
Neither team led by more than a point in the fifth set until Whitworth went on a 3-0 run to take a 10-7 lead. That was all the momentum it needed to clinch the match.
