TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's soccer team had a resounding 4-0 win over Multnomah in the 2021 season-opener Wednesday afternoon on East Field.
The Loggers had 19 total shots, 10 of which were on target. Puget Sound got off to an early 1-0 lead, scoring in the eighth minute courtesy of a
Graham Hall goal from an assist by
Marko Babiak.
The scoring didn't stop there as
Shane Ivich,
Marko Babiak, and
Ryan Smith all scored in the second half.
Stuart Methner and Liam Elliot provided assists in the contest.
Andrew Matheny made a couple of impressive diving saves - one in each half - to preserve the shutout.
Puget Sound (1-0) will head to Minneapolis, Minnesota Saturday, Sept. 4 to take on Augsburg (1-0).
