Loggers fall to Redlands on the road

Box Score TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound football team lost at Redlands, 60-10, Saturday night.
 
The Bulldogs (2-0) jumped out to 13-0 lead before the Loggers (0-2) got on the board with a two-yard touchdown run by Silas Washington early in the second quarter. A 10-yard completion from Murdock Rutledge to Simon Yim set up the score.
 
Jordi De La Torre accounted for three points by hitting a 32-yard field goal midway through the third quarter.
 
The Loggers went 5-for-7 on fourth-down conversions, but averaged just 3.1 yards per play. Redlands put up 10.2 yards per play.
 
Washington led the Loggers in both rushing (63 yards) and receiving (42 yards).
 
Puget Sound hosts its first home game of the season Saturday, Sept. 18, against Cal Lutheran. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
