TACOMA, Washington – Backed by a career-high 13 kills from
Avery Allemann, the Puget Sound volleyball team earned its third consecutive triumph with a 3-1 (25-15, 26-28, 25-16, 25-22) win over Linfield in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday evening. The Loggers have won six of their last seven contests.

Katherine Carley added 11 kills in the winning effort.
Logan Winn totaled 19 assists, and Chloe Akion-Bannan came up with 18 digs.

One day after beating Lewis & Clark in four sets, the Loggers kept momentum in the first set against and won the opener in convincing fashion, 25-15. Â

The Wildcats fought back to win the second set, 28-26, albeit the Loggers were hurting themselves often. Puget Sound committed 11 errors in the second set – including the final two points that allowed Linfield to clinch the set.

Puget Sound made the necessary corrections and committed only five errors in the third set, which the Loggers won handily, 25-16.

The Loggers are on the road for the next four matches, starting with a Sept. 22 bout in Parkland, Washington. The match at Pacific Lutheran starts at 7 p.m.
