Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Reardon catches fire to lead Loggers to 11th straight win

TACOMA, Washington – Addison Reardon poured in 28 points – 22 of which came in the second half – to lead the Puget Sound women's basketball team to a 90-83 win over Lewis & Clark in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday evening. The Loggers (11-1, 4-0 NWC) pushed their winning streak to 11 games.

Sophie Nilsson notched her second double-double of the season in the win over the Pioneers (7-6, 2-2 NWC), scoring 13 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. Nilsson has scored in double figures in all but one game this season. She also dished out eight assists. Paige Gerhart scored a season-high 17 points, and Georgia Lavinder added 11.

The Loggers trailed heading into halftime, 41-36. The deficit didn't last long in the second half.

Reardon got the third-quarter scoring started by hitting a 3-pointer. Following a Lewis & Clark bucket, George Lavinder hit a trey to bring the Loggers to within one point, 43-42. Sofia Lavinder tied the game, 45-45, when she capitalized on the old fashion three-point play.

Twenty seconds later, Reardon knocked down another shot beyond the arc to give Puget Sound a 48-45 advantage. The Loggers held the lead for the rest of the game.

The Loggers' lead grew to as high as 16 points, 69-53, after Sofia Lavinder hit a jumper from the paint two minutes into the fourth quarter.

Reardon finished the game shooting 7-for-10 form 3-point range. She was one trey away from tying the school record for most 3-pointers made in a game. Cassidy Daugherty (2017-18) and Annie Pettigrew (1989-90) hold the single-game record.

The Loggers are on the road next weekend for two games, starting with Whitworth Friday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m.
