NEWBERG, Oregon – Diego Alvaro scored his first-career goal as the Puget Sound men's soccer team beat George Fox, 2-0, on the road Sunday afternoon.
Alvaro's game-winner came in the 28
th minute, with
Lincoln Schell assisting on the score.
Etienne Polak added an insurance goal in the 80
th minute.
Alvaro entered the weekend as Puget Sound's leader in shots taken. It was only a matter of time before he found the back of the net.
Puget Sound defense allowed only three shots on goal, and
Ryan Saunders was there to make all three stops.
The Loggers' next game is at Pacific Lutheran Friday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m.
