TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound volleyball team prepares for a midweek clash against Pacific Lutheran in Memorial Fieldhouse Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. Puget Sound also hosts Lewis & Clark Saturday, Oct. 8, for the Homecoming match. That one begins at 6 p.m.

It means more this time around
During the Puget Sound Premiere (Sept. 3), Pacific Lutheran beat the Loggers in three sets (non-conference). Although the Loggers had 11 service aces, they also finished with a season-low three blocks.
Katelyn Chekian posted a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs.

Doubling up
Katelyn Chekian has six double-doubles this season. Her season-high in kills is 15 (at Pacific, Sept. 24), and her season-high in digs is 14 (at Whittier, Sept. 10).

Beast at the net
Avery Allemann has a team-high 130 kills this season. She also leads the Loggers in blocks with 53. Allemann is attacking at a .264 clip, and she set a career-high for blocks with 13 at Pacific (Sept. 24).

Log dog
Logan Winn has 448 assists this season, averaging 8.30 per set. She has at least 30 assists in four consecutive matches. She had a career-high 43 assist at Chapman (Sept. 10). Winn is also second on the team in blocks (40).

Diggin' it
Chloe Akionna-Bannan has already surpassed her 2021 total for digs. She has 206 digs this season, after finishing with 184 in 2021.

Scouting Pacific Lutheran (8-6, 3-3 NWC)
The Lutes enters Wednesday's contest with three consecutive wins, but they're 3-4 in the their last seven outings. Four of PLU's last five matches have gone five sets (2-2). Elle Thomas leads the attack with 142 kills, and Baylee Johnson has 132. The Lutes are attacking at a .168 mark, and holding opponents to .145.

Scouting Lewis & Clark (1-10, 0-6 NWC)
The Pioneers are still searching for their first conference win. Their only win this year was against Hollins. Lewis & Clark has a 0.96 attack percentage, and it's allowing opponents to hit .207. Izzy Willis has a team-high 89 kills, and Emma Ehiers has a team-high 26 blocks.
