TACOMA, Washington – Three Loggers scored at least 17 points, but the Puget Sound men's basketball team lost to Montana State University Northern, 80-63, during the final day of the Doug McArthur Classic in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday night.
 
Taj Phillips scored a game-high 18 points, while 
Grant Erickson and 
Liam Ruttledge both cored 17. Each of those three Loggers scored more points than any single player for the Lights.
 
Phillips also added 11 rebounds for his first-career double-double.
 
Puget Sound outrebounded Montana State Northern, 39-36, but the Loggers committed 14 turnovers to the Lights' 10.
 
Puget Sound shot 37.1-percent from the floor, while the Lights shot 48.4-percent.
 
The Loggers are on the road next week for the David Wells in Claremont, California, where Puget Sound takes on Claremont-M-S and Pomona-Pitzer (Nov. 25-26).
