TACOMA, Washington – The No. 24 Puget Sound women's basketball team had a tough night shooting the ball when it lost to Wheaton (Ill.), 62-56, during the final day of the Doug McArthur Classic in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday evening.

The Loggers shot just 23.9-percent from the floor (16-for-67), but they continued their strong play in other facets of the game. Puget Sound forced the Thunder into 25 turnovers.
Samantha Swartout came away with five steals, while
Katie Minnehan and
Paige Gerhart both recorded four steals.

The Loggers totaled 48 rebounds, while Wheaton finished with 44.

Swartout notched her first double-double of the season with a team-high 16 points and 10 rebounds Minnehan also recorded a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 12 boards.
Kennedy Brown added 12 points.

The Loggers are home Thanksgiving weekend to host Chapman and Whittier, Nov. 25-26. Â
