Bento scores twice in win, Loggers await postseason determination

FOREST GROVE, Oregon – Quincy Bento scored her first two goals of the season as the Puget Sound women's soccer team ended its regular season with a 4-1 victory at Pacific Sunday afternoon.

Bento scored her first goal in the 16th minute, giving the Loggers a 2-0 lead. Nearly 20 minutes later she scored again, and Puget Sound took a 3-0 lead into halftime. Tess Carden assisted on both of Bento's goals.

Rylee MacLennan scored her third goal of the season in the final minute of the game. Zoe Fowler delivered the assist.

Ava Cholakian scored the first goal of the game in the 10th minute. She ends the regular season with 17 goals – the most by a Logger since Janece Levien scored 19 times in 2009.

With a 16-3-1 overall record and a favorable strength of schedule, Puget Sound's postseason fate is in the NCAA's hands. The national selection committee will determine Monday if the Loggers qualify for the NCAA Championship.
