Katie Minnehan added 11, but the No. 23 Puget Sound women's basketball team lost to Pacific, 67-65, in a Northwest Conference Semifinal game in Memorial Fieldhouse Thursday night. The Loggers were the #2 seed, and the Boxers were the #3 seed.

Puget Sound (20-5) trailed 53-48 early in the fourth quarter, but the Loggers fought back to reclaim the lead. After
Jordyn Reverman scored in the paint to the cut the deficit to 53-52, Puget Sound forced a turnover. In the Loggers' ensuing possession, Minnehan scored along the baseline to give the Loggers a 54-53 lead with 4:17 left in regulation.

Pacific responded by making a couple of free-throws. Following a Puget Sound turnover, the Boxers drilled a trey to push their lead to 58-54 with 2:43 on the clock.

Rhae Schulz-O'Neil scored in the paint to make it a one-possession game, but the Boxers hit another 3-pointer to cushion their lead.

Down 64-58 with 36 seconds remaining, Minnehan earned a trip to the free-throw line. She made the first attempt, and got her own rebound when she missed the second attempt. The Loggers moved the ball to Grace Pytynia-Hiller at the top of the key, and she drilled a 3-pointer to bring the Loggers to within 64-62.

However, Pacific went 3-for-4 from the foul line in the final 30 seconds of the game to seal the win.

Puget Sound began the game with a 9-0 run.
Georgia Lavinder's 3-pointer capped the run and forced the Boxers to call timeout while the packed Lumber Yard Student Section kept the noise going.

The Loggers never trailed in the first half, and they held a 36-26 lead at halftime.

Puget Sound's 2021-22 season saw the Loggers in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top-25 national ranks for the entire second half of the season. The Loggers reached 20 wins for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
