TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound baseball team rallied for three runs in the ninth inning, but the Loggers came up just short against George Fox, 6-5, on Logger Field Saturday afternoon.

The Loggers (9-8, 6-4 NWC) entered the ninth inning in a 5-2 hole. Those two runs came off a solo home runs by
Makana Murashige and
Jonas Kim.

Kim led off the ninth inning by drawing a walk, and he moved to second base on a groundout by Murashige.
Gio Parascondola then ripped a double down the left-field line to score Kim.

Later in the inning,
Jacob Ota hit an RBI single, but a groundout by
Cody Hirano to score
Drew Kamihara stood as the last run of the game.

The second game of the series was suspended in the seventh inning, and will resume Sunday, March 13, at 12 p.m.
