TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound softball team resumes its Northwest Conference series against George Fox by hosting a doubleheader Sunday, March 27, starting at 12 p.m.

The Loggers and Bruins split the first doubleheader of the series (Feb. 26). The doubleheader scheduled for Feb. 27 was rained out.

The Bruins beat Puget Sound in the series opener, 12-1. However, the Loggers bounced back with a 13-4 victory.

Hailee Ueyama and
Hope Fleischman both homered in the Puget Sound win. Ueyama collected three hits in that game, while Fleischman,
Mikayla Newman, and
Savanna Smith each finished with two hits.

Fleischman had five RBI in the game, and
Maddy Garcia pitched all five innings while striking out seven.

Following this weekend, Puget Sound hosts Pacific for a four-game conference series, April 2-3.
