Box Score CLAREMONT, California – Dylan Joyce homered twice, and Makana Murashige drove in five runs to lead the Puget Sound baseball team to a 19-4 win over Carleton Saturday afternoon. Claremont-M-S hosted the game.

The Loggers opened the game by taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The rally was highlighted by a Jacob Ota RBI double. Carleton tacked on two runs in the home half of the opening stanza, but the Loggers erupted for six runs in the third inning.

Miscues by Carleton allowed the Loggers to score three runs, and then Murashige stepped to the plate with the bases loaded. He ripped a double down the left-field line, clearing the bases and giving the Loggers a 9-2 lead.

The Loggers added four more runs in the following inning, three of which were a home run by Joyce.

Joyce hit a solo home run in the seventh inning – his ninth long ball of the year.

Gio Parascondola hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning.

Chris Pullen earned the win by pitching three innings out of the bullpen and allowing just one run on three hits.

Murashige and Joyce both went 4-for-5 at the plate. Joyce drove in four runs and scored five times. Murashige drove in five runs and scored twice.
