CLAREMONT, California –
Jacob Ota hit his third home run of the season, and
Joe Schwab earned his second win as the Puget Sound baseball team completed a three-game southern California sweep with a 7-2 win at Claremont-M-S Sunday afternoon.
Â
The Stags took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Logger offense came to life in the fourth.

Jonas Kim came through with an RBI single to tie the game.
Â
Puget Sound put up three in the fifth inning.
Kyle Strash led off with a walk, and
Shane Himeda promptly followed with a single. Two batters later, Ota belted a three-run homer over the wall in left-centerfield.
Â
Himeda finished the game 3-for-5 at the plate, pushing his batting average to .435 for the season.
Â
Schwab pitched three innings in relief of starting pitcher
Owen Shellhammer, allowing just one earned run on three hits.
Â
The Loggers return home to host Lewis & Clark, April 2-3.
