TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound softball team's final four-game home series is this weekend, April 2-3, when the Loggers host Northwest Conference foe Pacific. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 12 p.m., and Sunday's games begin at 11 a.m.

Puget Sound lost both ends of a doubleheader at home against George Fox (March 27). The final scores were 4-3 and 5-3. The Loggers have played in 11 games decided by three runs or less, but Puget Sound has a 2-9 record in those games.

Kelsie Sullivan pitched a complete game against George Fox without allowing an earned run (March 27). It was the second time this season she worked all seven innings without an earned run on her final line. Sullivan tossed a complete-game shutout against Lewis & Clark (March 13).

Jessica Moore is hitting .322 this season, but her batting average elevates to .364 against NWC opponents.

Savanna Smith hit her first home run of 2022 against George Fox last week. She hit four home runs last year, and she has 12 more games this season to at least match that mark.

The Loggers are on the road at Linfield, April 9-10. Puget Sound's final home games are a doubleheader against Pacific Lutheran, April 15.

Scouting Pacific (6-20, 5-11 NWC)
The Boxers enter this weekend with six consecutive losses – four against Whittier, and two against Whitworth. Pacific is hitting .285 as a team, but its 7.03 ERA ranks last in the conference. Rylee Patton's .429 batting average leads Pacific, and she has a team-high 20 RBI. Michelle Winfield is hitting .356, and she leads the Boxers in runs (18) and steals (6).
