PARKLAND, Washington – Abbi Wong collected two hits and
Hana DeGuzman scored twice, but the Puget Sound softball team lost its 2022 season finale at Pacific Lutheran, 11-5, Saturday. The Loggers also lost the first game of the doubleheader, 8-0 (6 inn.).

Puget Sound jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second game. DeGuzman led off the top of the first inning with a single down the left-field line, and she moved into scoring position on a wild pitch. Wong ripped a double right-center field, allowing DeGuzman to easily score.

Jessica Moore drew a walk,
Kelsie Sullivan hit a groundball that allowed Wong to score and put the Loggers ahead, 2-0.

The Loggers added two more runs the very next inning.
Kendall Gantz and
Natalie Wilson drew consecutive one-out walks. Two batters later, Wong belted her second double of the game, this time plating two.
